ANC Caucus In The Gauteng Legislature Donates A Day`s Wages

The members of the ANC in the Gauteng Provincial Legislature are donating one day`s wages to the Job Creation Fund on Wednesday, 3 March 1999.
The Fund is an initiative by the employed - workers in Cosatu, Fedusa and Nactu - to assist in the creation of jobs for the high numbers of unemployed.
The Government has called for all members of Parliament, Provincial Legislatures and employees of the government to contribute a day`s wages.
The ANC caucus in the Gauteng Legislature - Premier, MEC`s and MPL`s - has responded.
At 12.30 on Wednesday, 3 March, the 51 members of the Caucus will be on the City Hall steps with a banner, prior to marching to Braamfontein to donate their cheque for R35 113 51 to representatives of the Job Creation Fund.
The Gauteng Provincial Legislature is in the City Hall building.
