ANC congratulates Wayde nan Niekerk for winning SA Sports Awards
The African National Congress congratulates the South African athlete, Wayde van Niekerk for being the big winner of the 10th annual SA Sports Awards on Sunday the 22 November in Mangaung, Free State. Wayde took home three awards in all, including Sports Star of the Year, 2015 People`s Choice Awards and Sportsman of the Year. The 23 year old Wayde also took home two Mercedes Benz cars sponsored by Merces Benz company.
Wayde is the fourth fastest man in history over 400m as he won his first world championship title in August at the IAAF World Championships BEIJING 2015. The ANC takes great pride in Wayde van Niekerk`s achievement and for raising the South African flag high whenever he competes outside the country. We trust that this accomplishment will encourage young athletes to do more in order to achieve such accolades.
