ANC Parliament welcomes new NYDA Board
7 June 2017
The ANC Study Group on Public Service & Administration, Performance Monitoring & Evaluation welcomed the new NYDA Board in Parliament today.
The board, represented by board chairperson, Mr Sifiso Mtsweni and his deputy, Ms Bavelile Hlongwe appeared before the Portfolio Committee on Public Service & Administration, Performance Monitoring & Evaluation for the first time today since their appointment as board members earlier this year to present their programme on youth economic participation with a particular focus on employment creation.
With their sole mandate being advocacy for youth integration and mainstreaming development in all spheres of government, private sector and civil society, the board informed parliament that their key priority is to take the NYDA back to its stakeholders which are young people.
As parliament, we will closely monitor their progress in implementing of their programmes to ensure that they live up to their mandate.
