Around 300 DA members defected to ANC in the Amathole Region
Speaker, once again another exodus of DA members crossed to the African National Congress, this time at the Chris Hani region, Eastern Cape. They were paraded during the launch of the 2016 Local Government Elections campaign on Friday 20 November 2015. The launch took place at the Indoor Sports Centre in Queeenstown and was attended by among others, ANC Eastern Cape Chairperson, who is also the Premier of the Eastern Cape, Cde Pumulo Masuale.
The ANC welcomes these members who realised that their trust in the Democratic Alliance was misplaced and that the ANC was their only political home. These members felt that they can contribute to the nation unless they joined a party that was going to help the country achieve its potential. Indeed ANC is that party which plays a leading role in the transformation of the society. Our policy contributed and continues to contribute to significant change in our country. Shame DA, it never rains but pours.
