Black industrialist policy to access R23bn from IDC
The ANC regards the cabinet approval of the long awaited Black Industrialists Policy, as a step in the right direction, in terms of growing the global competitiveness of black-owned enterprises. This will assist in facilitating meaningful participation of the majority black-owned and managed companies in the value chains of the industrial sector of the economy.
Moreover, R23 billion has already being set aside for the programme by the Industrial Development Corporation, to expand the industrial base of the country and grow the economy through dedicated support to black industrialists.
The ANC believes that this policy will contribute towards shifting the demographic composition of South Africa`s industrial sector.
