Motion on Caster Semenya
The Chief Whip of the Majority Party moved without notice: That the House -
(1) notes that South African athlete, Caster Semenya was placed second in the 800m women`s final at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London;
(2) believes that she ran the race with integrity and dignity;
(3) further believes that she has, at age twenty-one, a long way to go in her sport and has the Olympic destiny in her hands; and
(4) congratulates silver medalist Semenya on her amazing race .
