Motion without notice by the ANC Chief Whip on SADTU Congress

I move without notice, that the House;
Noting;
That the South African Democratic Teachers Union (SADTU) is currently holding its 6th National Congress in Midrand, Gauteng. The Congress started yesterday, 30th August and ends on Sunday, the 3rd of September;
Further noting;
The important role the teachers play in educating our country`s children.
Recognises;
The contribution that SADTU has made in the battle for transformation in education and in the effort to deepen the culture of learning and teaching.
Congratulates;
The outgoing leadership on their stewardship in affirming the importance of education; and,
Wishes;
SADTU fruitful deliberations and a successful 6th Congress.
