Statement By Frieda Mathibela on World Health Organisation (WHO)

World Health Organization Africa region declared the 31st August in 1978 as an African Traditional Medicine day. The day was never celebrated in South Africa since. It has, however, been celebrated for the first time on the 6th September 2007.

The celebration was held in Limpopo Province, Sekhukhune District Municipality in Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipality at Tafelkop Village.

The African National Congress works tirelessly for the integration of the Traditional Healing system into the public health system.
