ANC Caucus mourns the passing of the late Former Member of Parliament Ambassador Priscilla Jana

11 October 2020

The ANC Caucus has learnt with great sadness of the passing of Ambassador Priscilla Jana Saturday, 10 October 2020.

Comrade Priscilla Jana was one of the first Members of Parliament who represented the African National during the first term of the Democratic government in Parliament from 1994 – 1999 under President Nelson Mandela.

She was very instrumental in the transformation of apartheid laws as she served in the Justice Committee and was one of the most dedicated; passionate and energetic leaders during that period.

Comrade Priscilla Jana served with pride and for that as the ANC Caucus we take off our hats and salute this pioneer and Daughter of the soil.

ANC Caucus joins many of our people in extending its heartfelt condolences to her family and loved ones during this difficult period. Rest in Eternal peace; Comrade Priscilla Jana.

Issued by the Office of the Chief Whip; Hon. Pemmy Majodina
